There is new hope for orphaned cats in the greater Denver area as local entrepreneur and former professional lacrosse player Jon Urbana spearheads a Crowdrise fundraising campaign in support of the Animal Rescue and Adoption Society.
The Animal Rescue and Adoption Society (ARAS) is a Denver Colorado safe haven for cats. Its mission is to provide local area orphaned felines with safe shelter while they wait to be placed in a new and caring home. What was most important to Jon Urbana, when selecting ARAS, was that they are a no-kill shelter. As a humanitarian and admitted cat lover (plenty of Flickr pics!), Jon felt a duty to do what he could to help support the vital service provided by this nonprofit organization. Every penny is critical to ARAS and Jon knows it.
A staunch advocate on Twitter against the cruelty to animals himself, Jon Urbana has graciously put his name behind the ARAS Crowdrise fundraising campaign. His name is well known in the greater Denver area through his many presentations on Slideshare, and with a simple search of Jon Urbana’s name, using the Crowdrise website search feature, individuals will be taken directly to the ARAS charity drive page where they can learn more about ARAS and participate in the fundraising effort.
Jon Urbana is a Denver area native who states on his blog bio that he first gained recognition as a high school lacrosse player. His star athletic qualities later had him playing lacrosse for the Villanova Wildcats where he immediately began earning praise, awards and recognition for his performance on the field. Jon’s athletic abilities also landed him a spot on the Jr. Olympics ski team.
Now an entrepreneur, businessman, and freelance electronic music artist, Jon Urbana still is able to fulfil his passion for the game of lacrosse by lending his time to mentor young men and women in the sport. Of course Jon remains a devoted humanitarian and cat lover which is why he started his Crowdrise fundraising campaign for the Animal Rescue and Adoption Society.
